Gastrointestinal problems are caused by a variety
of conditions, including dietary and nutritional factors,
food allergies, viral and bacterial infections, fungal overgrowth
such as candida, parasites, and stress. Other factors can
include organ deficiencies or malfunctioning of the digestive
organs as a result ot such nutritional factors, or less commonly,
as a result of some genetic cause or physical injury.
The overusage of antibiotics
also leads to chronic problems, beginning with the
gastrointestinal system. Antibiotics destroy all bacteria in
the body, including the helpful strains of bacteria known as probiotics.
The usage of antibiotics in the treatment of illness, as well
as second hand consumption through meat and dairy products,
can lead to the yeast overgrowth known as Candida.
